Occupational Therapy

The Utah State Hospital occupational therapy department recognizes the need to provide a consistent, quality fieldwork education for our future occupational therapy colleagues. As such, we value our partnerships with education institutions and are committed to providing our interns with a comprehensive and valuable mental health fieldwork experience.

Our department takes interns from many colleges and universities from across the nation, providing both OT and OTA Level I and Level II internships year round. While we prefer providing full time, 12-week level II internships, we do offer a limited number of Level I fieldwork placements as well. Nationally Certified and State Licensed Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants supervise all OT/OTA interns.
